Lemon (Satureja montana citriodora) - H: 9-12 inches, W: 10-12 inches, Sun: Full, Zone: 5-8, Description: Short, mounting plant with small green narrow leaves that have a pleasant lemon scent and flavor. Have tiny pink flowers. Uses: Can be used in cooking and to make teas. Note: Perennial.
Summer (Satureja hortensis) - H: 10-18 inches, W: 2-3 ft, Sun: Full, Description & Uses: Wiry, erect stems with very narrow leaves that are aromatic and spicy. Plants bear tiny pink, lavender, or white flowers. Best when used fresh in cooking. Leaves can be used to season dips, salads, sauces, soups, stews, and stuffing. High in vitamins and minerals. Note: Annual.
Winter (Satureja montana) - H: 6-12 inches, W: 8-12 inches, Sun: Full, Zone: 5-8, Description: Short evergreen, erect stemmed plant with very narrow dark green leaves with a nice flavor. Produces tiny white or purple flowers. Uses: Leaves can be used with beans, sauces, soups, stews, and stuffing. Can also be used to make tea. High in vitamins and minerals. Note: Perennial.
Winter, Dwarf (Satureja montana) - H: 6-8 inches, W: N/A, Sun: Full, Zone: 5-8, Description: Creeping evergreen plant with narrow dark green leaves that have a nice flavor. Plants produce tiny white to purple flowers. Uses: Leaves can be used with beans, sauces, soups, stews, and stuffing. Can also be used to make tea. High in vitamins and minerals. Note: Perennial.
