These are the varieties of rosemary which we offer in 3.5/4.5 inch pots:

 

Arp - H: 2-3 ft, W: 2-3 ft, Sun: Full, Zone: 7-10, Description: Tall, erect stems with very narrow dark green/gray tipped leaves and blue flower spikes. Uses: A very aromatic variety that is good for grilling, but can also be used in breads, chicken, lambs, pork, vegetables, and vinegars. Note: Annual and deer resistant. 

 

Barbeque - H: 3-4 ft, W: 4-5 ft, Sun: Full, Zone: 6-10, Description: Tall, bushy plant with very narrow dark green leaves and light blue flowers. Uses: Stems are good for grilling skewers. Leaves are good for seasoning grilled foods.  Note: Annual and deer resistant. 

 

Foresteri - H: 3-4 ft, W: N/A, Sun: Full, Zone: 8-10, Description: Upright shrub plants with narrow green leaves that are fragrant. Plants also produce light blue flowers. Note: Annual and deer resistant. 

 

Gorizia - H: 5 ft, W: 4-5 ft, Sun: Full, Zone: 7-10, Description: Tall, bushy plant with very narrow dark green leaves that have a flavorful, mild sweet taste with a hint of ginger. Lavender/blue flowers. Uses: Leaves can be used to season breads, poultry, pork, and stews.  Note: Annual, mildew resistant, discovered in Gorizia Italy, and deer resistant. 

 

Lockwood De Forest - H: 1-2 ft, W: 6 ft, Sun: Full, Zone: 7b, Description: Trailing shrub with narrow fragrant green leaves. Plants also produce pale blue flowers. Uses: Plants work well in rock gardens and hanging baskets. Rosemary can be used to flavor meats, especially those that are roasted. Also, rosemary pairs well with cheese, eggs, lentils, mushrooms, peas, spinach, squash, tomatoes, and more. Leaves can also be used in teas and beauty care products. Note: A natural hybridization of two other rosemary varieties that was discovered in Santa Barbara CA gardens of Lockwood and Elizabeth De Forest in 1927. 

 

Hardy Hill - H: 3-4ft, W: 3-4ft, Sun: Full, Zone: 7-10, Description: Tall, erect evergreen plant with blue flowers. Uses: rosemary can be used to flavor meats, especially those that are roasted. Also, rosemary pairs well with cheese, eggs, lentils, mushrooms, peas, spinach, squash, tomatoes and more. Leaves can also be used in tea and body care products. Note: Cold hardy variety, deer resistant, drought tolerant, and good variety for shallow rocky soils. 

 

Salem - H: 1-4 ft, W: 1-4ft, Sun: Full, Zone: 6a, Description: Erect plants with green/grey narrow leaves with a strong fragrance. Plants have violet/blue blossoms. Uses: rosemary can be used to flavor meats, especially those that are roasted. Also, rosemary pairs well with cheese, eggs, lentils, mushrooms, peas, spinach, squash, tomatoes and more. Leaves can also be used in tea and body care products. Note: Deer resistant. 

 

Spice Island - H: 2-3 ft, W: 1-2 ft, Sun: Full, Zone: 7-10, Description: Erect stemmed plant with dark green/gray narrow leaves that has an intense flavor with a hint of cloves and nutmeg as well as spike of dark blue flowers. Uses: Stems are good for making shishkabobs. Leaves can be used with bread, chicken, lamb, and potatoes. Note: Annual and deer resistant. 

 

Plants are available for pickup and shipping between May 31st and October 31st.
