Perennial Vegetables

  • All the perennial vegetables which we offer  are grown here on the farm from propagation of our own stock and those that are purchased from larger wholesale nurseries .
  • We have  a NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets Nursery Growers License.
  • Availability of plant stock is subject to change as we receive orders.
  • Plant stock availability on the website will be updated every Monday.
  • At this time we do not offer shipping or delivery of potted plants.
  • Plant orders are available for pickup by appointment only on the farm or at farmers market after May 15th 2023.
  • We ask that all appointments please be made at least 3 days prior to the date of pickup.
  • In the case of crop failure for any plant ordered, we will refund the full price of the plant.
  • Once the plant is picked up we cannot accept returns/exchanges.

Asparagus

Jersey Supreme - Sun: Full, Spears: High yielding and early green spears, Note: Hybrid variety that is disease resistant and very cold hardy. Zone: 3-8. Sold Out


Sweet Purple - Sun: Full, Spears: Thick purple spears with a nutty/sweet flavor. Zone: 3-9. Sold Out


Viking - Sun: Full, Spears: Good yielding green spears. Note: Heirloom variety that is rust resistant. Zone: 3-8. Sold Out

Horseradish

Jerusalem Artichoke

H: 6-9ft, W: Infinite, Sun: Full, Roots: Tubers that have similar texture to water chestnuts that can be harvested fall to spring and be baked, fried or eaten fresh, Note: Perennial and self pollinating, Zone: 3-9. Pot size: 1 gal.

Jerusalem Artichoke

Onions

These are the perennial onion types we have available:


Egyptian Walking - H: 24-36 inches, W: N/A, Sun: Full to part, Zone: 3-9, Description: Green/blue tubular stalks that produce bulbs on the bottom and top. Uses: Can be use like green onions and shallots. Note: Top bulbs eventually become too heavy for the stalks and fall to the ground and will root in to form an extension of the plant. Hence, the term “walking onions.” Size: 3.5 inch pot.


I'itoi - H: 6-18 inches, W: N/A, Sun: Full, Zone: N/A, Description: Leave are slightly spicy. Bulbs are mild and shallot like. Uses: Can be use like green onions or chives or shallots. Can be harvest throughout the year. Note: A rare multiplier, perennial, green onion used by Native American peoples of the Southwest. Believed to be introduced by Jesuit missionaries to the US during the 17th century. Size: 4.5 inch pot.
